10 juni: Landelijke staking! National strike!

Met 25.000 mensen stonden we op het Malieveld, en tijdens de estafettestakingen kwamen nog eens 32.500 mensen in actie. Toch gaat het kabinet door met de sloop van ons onderwijs: in de voorjaarsnota zijn zelfs extra bezuinigingen van 400 miljoen aangekondigd. Dat pikken we niet! Daarom leggen we op 10 juni opnieuw ons werk neer. Onze eis blijft staan: alle bezuinigingen moeten van tafel.

De staking is een initiatief van onder andere WO in Actie, de AOb en FNV, de studentenvakbonden en diverse actiegroepen.

There were 25,000 of us standing on the Malieveld, and another 32,500 joined the rolling strikes. Yet the government is pressing ahead with the dismantling of our education system: the spring budget update even includes an additional €400 million in cuts. We won’t stand for it. That’s why we’re going on strike again on June 10. Our demand remains the same: all cuts must be taken off the table.

The strike is an initiative of groups including WO in Actie, the AOb and FNV unions, student organizations, and various activist groups.
