Aan iedereen die het onderwijs een warm hart toedraagt!

Op 24 mei a.s. is op de Dam vanaf 13:00 de landelijke manifestatie De Straat Op, een brede demonstratie tegen de onkunde van dit kabinet en vóór een open democratie en burgerrechten. WOinActie is deze dag aanwezig, kom jij ook?

De bezuinigingen op het hoger onderwijs (en het onderwijs in bredere zin) zijn een aanval op een belangrijke pijler van de democratie. Met deelname aan deze mars laten we zien dat het hoger onderwijs zich niet onder de voet laat lopen en zal blijven strijden!

Onderwijs is de basis voor een goed functionerende maatschappij. Jezelf kunnen ontwikkelen als kritische burger via onderwijs is een basisrecht. De afbraak die Minister tegen Onderwijs Eppo Bruins met krokodillentranen in zijn ogen uitvoert, komt het huidige radicaal-rechtse deel van het kabinet goed uit.

Maar die sloopkogel gaan wij terugkoppen. Hou je wrecking ball bij je!

Laat je dus niet kisten, maar trek ze aan (of ander stevig schoeisel) en kom meedemonstreren! WOinActie verzamelt op deze dag om 12:30 bij het woord ‘Hic’ (hier) op de voorzijde van het monument op de Dam. We zijn te herkennen aan de WOinActie-estafettevlag, heel veel rode vierkantjes en een warm hart voor onderwijs.

To everyone who cares about education!

On May 24th, there will be a national demonstration called De Straat Op at the Dam starting at 1:00 PM, a broad protest against the ignorance of this government and in favor of an open democracy and civil rights. WOinActie will be present on this day—will you join us?

The cutbacks in higher education (and education in a broader sense) are an attack on an important pillar of democracy. By participating in this march, we show that higher education stands strong and will continue to fight!

Education is the foundation for a well-functioning society. The ability to develop oneself as a critical citizen through education is a fundamental right. The destruction that Minister of Education Eppo Bruins is carrying out while shedding false tears, suits the current radical right-wing part of the government.

We will remain resilient against the wrecking ball. So don’t be discouraged; put on your walking boots and come join the protest! WOinActie will gather on this day at 12:30 PM at the word ‘Hic’ (here) on the front of the monument at the Dam. We can be recognized by the WOinActie relay flag, lots of red squares, and a warm heart for education.
